About the tour
A National Call to Action for Girls’ Mental Health and Well-Being
Across America, teen mental health is in crisis — and Black girls are among the most vulnerable, facing some of the highest suicide attempt rates among their peers. For 10 years, Black Girls Can Inc. has created spaces where girls feel seen, supported, and equipped to lead — and now we’re taking that mission nationwide through the Pathway to Power Tour. In 10 cities, we’ll deliver a one-day, in-school experience of wellness, leadership, STEAM, and sisterhood to help girls heal, thrive, and step boldly into their futures.
The Pathway to Power Tour is a movement that brings together students, parents, educators, and partners with one shared purpose: to create safe, affirming spaces for girls to heal, lead, and thrive.
Our Why
America’s youth are in a mental health crisis — and Black girls are among the most impacted, with suicide attempts rising 73% in the past two decades. Too often, they face anxiety, grief, and bias without access to affirming care, while remaining underrepresented in STEAM.
Our why is simple: we see the gap and step in — not to rescue, but to reimagine. To reimagine schools as spaces of joy, leadership rooted in identity, and girls thriving instead of pouring from empty cups.
